Big health Data and Security Challenges
Big data has significantly changed the way industries or organizations deals or manages it in any form. The area where big data can make a real change is healthcare. Big healthcare data has considerable potential to improve patient outcomes, predict outbreaks of epidemics, gain valuable insights, avoid preventable diseases, reduce the cost of healthcare delivery and improve the quality of life in general. One major issue is the authenticity and originality of the data and secondly the security and patient’s privacy is a difficult task. This data is of no use if these two issues are not addressed. To make successful use of big data it is important to identify the security and privacy challenges being faced by healthcare industry. I will highlight the recent proposed methods, optimization techniques and future directions.
